Pilgrim's Feedlot Products
Pilgrim's Feedlot Feeds are high energy, very palatable flaked corn/cottonseed hull based textured rations that are formulated to get optimal performance from starting, growing or finishing cattle (steers, heifers and bulls). These outstanding feeds are patterned after those fed in the commercial feedlot industry.
Feedlot Quick Starter
This feed is medicated with 70 grams per ton of Chlortetracycline and 70 grams per ton of Sulfamethazine (AS700). It is designed to be fed for 28 days as an aid in maintenance of weight gains in the presence of respiratory disease such as shipping fever.
Feedlot Starter
This feed is similar to Feedlot Quick Starter except that it is non-medicated. It is recommended that it be fed for the first two to three weeks of a feeding period.
Feedlot Grower
This feed is designed to be fed after cattle have been started on feed with either Feedlot Quick Starter or Feedlot Starter. Gradually switch cattle from the appropriate starter to Feedlot Grower over a two to three week period. This feed is also an excellent ration for growing and developing show cattle.
Feedlot Grower Pellet
This feed is patterned after Feedlot Grower except that it comes in a 3/8-inch pellet that contains cottonseed hulls and flaked corn. It promotes the same outstanding performance as the textured Feedlot Grower in a pellet form.
Feedlot Finisher
This is a finishing ration designed to follow Feedlot Grower. It contains a high level of flaked corn to insure maximum performance for finishing cattle. Due to the high corn level, it should only be fed to cattle after they are on full feed of Feedlot Grower. Cattle should be gradually switched from Feedlot Grower to Feedlot Finisher over a two to three week period. Proper feedbunk management is critical with this feed due to the high corn content. Over-consumption could result in acidosis.
