These products are self-regulating grass supplements for backgrounding, stocker and yearling cattle. Intake is controlled by a combination of intake limiting ingredients. As a result, the salt content in these products is low. The use of these products offers several advantages over both salt controlled rations and hand feeding supplementation programs.

• Most of the energy is provided by ingredients, which contain a high amount of energy but low starch content (soybean hulls, wheat midds, corn gluten feed and rice bran). The energy is provided by "digestible fiber" which, does not reduce forage digestion or utilization like grain based supplements can.
• Pilgrim's Hi-Energy Pasture Regulators are medicated with Bovatec. Research has shown Bovatec to increase daily gains of pasture cattle. Daily gain increase of 0.2 lb is typical.
